Server Upgrades [Oct 29 1:00am]
The server was offline for approximately 50 minutes. We encountered no significant complications and everything seems to be working as intended.
Most of the changes that occured are either cosmetic or only visible to IRCops. The change most users will notice is that now mode +x is set by default. Another significant change is that you can no longer make ChanServ auto-op/auto-voice everyone who enters the channel.
There may be a more comprehensive list of changes posted here soon.

It caused all channels to lose all bans. Reason for this is that when a channel is empty, the channel "ceases to exist" ...

| Bergee Oct 29 4:59pm | quantumchaos, I said no such thing. It's merely been on the docket for a while. | |

Well, not exactly. An empty channel has no modes, but ChanServ will reinstate all modes that were locked once the channel is created again. If a ban was locked, it should not have been lost during the upgrade.

| arcane Oct 29 8:59pm | You can't mlock a ban though. | |
